HYDRO-FIT Deck Mat

Excellent quality and great to protect ankles, knees and hips from teaching on concrete decks. Also great for swim students to learn exercises to increase core strength and kicking technique. I may purchase the deck cart as well!

The mat is very forgiving to the body and does a great job of absorbing impact. It may be pretty heavy for some and a bit of a challenge to pick up and put away, but not impossible.

I've ordered this mat in the past and I had to replace it after 11 months of use. The mat breaks down and black, sand-sized particles shed from it, which leaves the deck dirty. It then starts to absorb water, which makes it very heavy and hard to lift/move. Our facility has only nine classes each week. I wish the product would last longer, given the price.

I've been in the industry for 30 years and have seen facilities struggle with finding a good teaching mat for aqua fitness instructors. The Hydro-Fit deck mat provides dense cushioning under foot, while it prevents slipping (of the mat on the floor / of the instructor on the mat). The mat is durable - not easily torn when moved from location to location, or put away for storage. This kind of equipment gets a lot of wear and tear in most recreational settings. It holds up very well! We store ours by draping it over other equipment in the storage room. I would recommend a saw-horse sized apparatus to allow it to be draped over to dry.
